Looking ahead, I hope to enter the student affairs profession in a role in which I can interact closely with students and help them navigate the higher education landscape. Because of my wide array of interests and experiences, I am open to many student affairs functional areas. I am most excited to combine my current skill-set and passion to improve the experiences of first-generation or underserved populations.

 

 

Below, I have listed goals that I would like to achieve in the next 5-10 years.

 

In 5 years

• Enter the profession with a position in residence life, orientation programs, academic advising, or student support/advocacy services

• Build a stronger commitment to professional associations such as NASPA or ACPA, and assist with conference planning

• Become a mentor for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program

• Continue to travel

 

In 10 years

• Pursue a doctorate degree in education

• Become a director in either an academic department or division in student affairs
